Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector is seeking a Systems Architect Engineer – Level 4 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. *Please be aware that this position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding. Additionally, this position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.* This role is for a highly motivated System Architect who will operate within a study, capture, or program execution effort and focus on driving consistency and alignment across technical thread capabilities to define a complete architecture solution. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: -Work with systems engineering stakeholders across capability threads and operations to develop and refine advanced system architectures and operational concepts that align with mission objectives. -Develop and maintain architecture artifacts (Technical Description Document, CONOPS/OPSCON) that contain a detailed, comprehensive overview of the entire system design and operations. -Support mission planning and execution by ensuring all documentation reflects current system status and operational intent. -Support trade studies to evaluate design decisions and defining the resulting architecture -Several efforts embrace a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach in which case the responsibilities extend to leveraging MBSE tools, methodologies, and workflows to develop, maintain, and validate system models as the technical baseline for the effort. -Support the Systems Engineering team to define and document the system design, requirements, interfaces, and mission/operational concept within the MBSE tool suite. Basic Qualifications for Systems Architect Engineer – Level 4: -Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 8+ years of engineering experience OR -Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 6+ years of engineering experience OR -PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 4+ years of engineering experience -Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and have active SCI access at time of application with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5
