Implements the procurement of various components to support production while negotiating with suppliers on cost efficiency and time of delivery. Your main tasks
Representing Procurement within interdisciplinary Core Team in development process of new products. Responsible for achieving time to Market (TTM) to ensure the project milestones of the external parts & tools. Responsible for Supplier related BOM Cost, checking and analysing cost driver and driving cost saving opportunities in all project phases. Creating full Project Quotation Overview and monitoring Procurement Cost BOM within New Product Development Projects Generate and distributes cost saving opportunities for serial business. Ensure Sourcing decisions, initiating and actively tracking RFQ´s within New Product Development Projects time frame. Responsible for achieving the financial Project KPI for the procured parts. Monitor and coordination with suppliers and activly tracking needed tool progress. Supports the Core Team to define most economical manufacturing concept. Facilitate & ensure technical discussion and reviews with Suppliers and Product Engineering. Analyze and evaluates price trends on tool and part cost based on market data. Estimates impacts on cost and timing related to tool & part modifications. Active problem solving in case of KPI at risk. Supports within the technology roadmap to ensure needed supply base accordingly. Distribute lessons learned findings and activities within assigned product groups. Identifies and drives process improvements and updates or creates the required documentation. Basic understanding of market situation and customer requirements as well as adapting this information to the dedicated department . Supports within onboarding phase from new team members as assigned Buddy Comprehensive process understanding (TE processes) Onsite visits at Suppliers and Supplier Assessments (Specially Lean Ass.). Your ideal background
2 to 3 years experience in Procurement / Process Engineering or Manufacturing Fluent English at negotiation level, other languages are a plus. Strong skill in negotiating and developing and maintaining good supplier relationships that will serve TE’s needs Strong knowledge of SAP PR2 and MS-Office tools, primarily Excel, but also Word, PowerPoint and Project Strong
