Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Ichem Scientist Labcorp is seeking an Ichem Scientist to join our team in Shanghai, China.
Job Responsibilities
Independently conducts routine and non-routine laboratory analyses, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Performs complex analytical testing, including use of unfamiliar techniques with limited guidance. Identifies technical issues and leads troubleshooting activities for non-standard problems. Evaluates analytical data and provides scientifically sound interpretation and recommendations. Performs QC review to ensure data integrity and compliance. Supports and partially leads method development, validation, and optimization activities. Suggests modifications to analytical methods, procedures, or workflows based on data and observations. Assists in drafting and updating methods, SOPs, and technical documents. Independently operates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instruments. Performs routine and non-routine maintenance and identifies equipment issues. Participates in equipment qualification, verification, and performance monitoring. Maintains accurate, complete, and audit-ready documentation in accordance with GxP requirements. Ensures adherence to SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and data integrity standards. Escalates deviations and contributes to root cause analysis and corrective actions. Provides guidance and training to junior staff on laboratory techniques and procedures. Assists in improving team technical capability through knowledge sharing. Collaborates effectively with internal teams and contributes to a positive lab environment. Identifies process improvement opportunities within laboratory workflows. Contributes to improved efficiency, quality, and reliability of analytical processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in biology, medicine or other analytical fields. 3 months or more experience using computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, MS-Access and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of experience in large molecule bioanalysis. Familiar with the use of standard laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pipettes, centrifuges). Experience with analytical instrumentation. Acts as a technical resource for the department (troubleshooting, method development, qualification, maintenance and training). Additional Job Standards: Evaluates data for incorporation into written reports. Completes project assignments on time with minimal supervision. Knowledgeable on a variety of study types, analysis procedures and methodology. Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing. Acts as a project leader with guidance as needed. Able to perform complex analysis using unfamiliar or new methods. Ability to assist in the preparation of relevant sections of final reports.
