Location: On-site in Lynchburg, Virginia Your Day to Day as an RTR Process Engineer:
Identifies and implements product and process improvements.
Processes necessary change requests/SER revisions/etc. to support area operations. Authors and tracks customer submittals to avoid production delays. Reviews and improves upon area operating instructions (OPs, PPOs, SMTs). Maintains familiarity with customer specifications to understand and address nonconformances. Responds with urgency to area operations and QC concerns. Generates RWPs on an as-needed basis. Identifies vulnerabilities and plans to address existing shop equipment. Troubleshoots equipment with urgency. Uses individual experience and/or reaches out for vendor support. Participates in customer calls and visits as it pertains to cognizant products and/or equipment. Communicates to the project team progress on active projects as needed. Obtains quotes and generates purchase requisitions on an as-needed basis. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a technical field plus two (2) years experience is required. Must be able to lead small teams on limited scope projects. Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment is required. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is required. Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
