The Data Quality Intermediate Analyst is responsible for delivering subject matter and industry expertise across the enterprise in coordination with the Data Quality team. This role deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family.
Responsibilities
Partners with business teams to develop process improvements, solutions, and streamline operational workflows Applies professional judgment and attention to detail when interpreting data and results based on the analysis of information May occasionally provide informal guidance or on the job training to new or lower-level team members Communicates with tact and diplomacy to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information with project stake holders or internal parties Works and coordinates with a multidisciplinary group of business leads, operations managers, and technologists Report Data Quality issues through the Data Concern Remediation Management process Defines detailed business data requirements and documenting them Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency Qualifications: 2-5 years’ Experience with defining and implementing Data Quality programs; Banking or Finance industry preferred Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Working knowledge of Collibra and other Data Governance industry standard tools Intermediate proficiency in System Query Language (SQL) Working knowledge of Tableau (report consumer, developer, etc.) Demonstrated understanding of Database structures Flexible, team-oriented and have good interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Education: Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience The main responsibles are ensuring that data sourced and consumed across the organization meets established standards of quality, integrity, and consistency. This role contributes to the execution of the Data Governance framework, with a primary focus on Data Quality management, supporting the identification, analysis, and remediation of data issues that may impact business processes, regulatory reporting, and decision-making. The analyst works cross-functionally with both business and technology teams, promoting the adoption of data quality controls and best practices across data flows.
Responsibilities
Identify, analyze, and document data quality issues, including root cause analysis and remediation recommendations. Define, implement, and monitor data quality rules, controls, and metrics. Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure proper implementation of data quality controls within data pipelines. Support the reporting and monitoring of Data Quality KPIs and Data Governance maturity metrics. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen data quality processes and controls. Document processes, standards, and lessons learned related to Data Quality activities.
Qualifications
3-5 years’ Experience with defining and implementing Data Quality programs; Banking preferred Familiarity with Data Warehouse and/or Data Lake environments. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, identify patterns, anomalies, and data issues. Advanced proficiency in System Query Language (SQL) (Must) Working knowledge of
