Title and Summary Director, Product Management – New Rail Commercialization The Director, Product Management – New Rail Commercialization will lead the commercialization strategy for next-generation payment rails across Transfer Solutions. This role is responsible for defining how Mastercard's proprietary capabilities, together with strategic partner solutions, are combined into differentiated commercial propositions that drive customer adoption and revenue growth. Working across product, regional teams, business development, engineering, legal, compliance, and external partners, this leader will identify emerging market opportunities—including stablecoins, digital assets, account-to-account payments, and other new payment rails—and translate them into scalable, client-ready offerings. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, commercial acumen, ecosystem management, and product management experience to bring innovative payment solutions to market.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Proposition Development • Define commercialization strategies for emerging payment rails, including stablecoins and other digital payment innovations. • Develop compelling commercial packages that combine Mastercard capabilities with partner products and services. • Create differentiated value propositions for banks, fintechs, payment service providers, corporates, and other ecosystem participants. • Define pricing, packaging, positioning, and go-to-market approaches for new solutions. Ecosystem & Partner Strategy • Evaluate strategic partners that enhance Mastercard's end-to-end proposition. • Design integrated commercial offerings leveraging both Mastercard and partner capabilities. • Work closely with Business Development to support partner selection, commercial negotiations, and joint go-to-market planning. • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging ecosystem trends. Product Commercialization • Translate product capabilities into scalable commercial offerings. • Develop commercialization playbooks, sales enablement materials, and customer messaging. • Partner with regional product teams to validate market demand and prioritize commercialization opportunities. • Define success metrics and monitor product adoption and commercial performance. Market Strategy • Monitor developments across account-to-account payments, stablecoins, tokenized deposits, digital assets, and other emerging payment infrastructures. • Identify market gaps and recommend strategic investments or partnerships. • Represent Transfer Solutions internally and externally on commercialization initiatives. Cross-functional Leadership • Lead cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Finance, and Regional teams. • Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority. • Drive alignment between global strategy and regional market execution. All About You • Extensive experience in product management, product strategy, commercialization, or payments strategy. • Deep understanding of cross-border payments, account-to-account payments, or real-time payment ecosystems. • Strong knowledge of emerging payment technologies, including stablecoins, digital assets, and blockchain-enabled payments. • Demonstrated success developing commercial propositions that combine internal capabilities with partner solutions. • Experience working with fintechs,
