We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Substation Supervisor to lead a team of represented employees responsible for the operation, maintenance, and construction of our electrical substations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in substation equipment and systems, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a unionized workforce.   The primary purpose of this job family position is to plan, organize and direct field personnel engaged in the operation, maintenance, and construction of electric substations and ancillary equipment of the We Energies Electric Distribution System, the American Transmission Company (ATC) Electric Transmission System, the We Energies Power Generation’s Power Plant Fleet, in Southeastern Wisconsin. This position supervises represented employees in various occupations who perform all construction and maintenance work within WE substations.   This position Supervises represented employees in various occupations who perform: a.) preventative maintenance, b.) corrective maintenance, c.) new substation construction, d.) existing substation modifications, e.) substation equipment switching, f.) miscellaneous electrical system construction and maintenance work, and g.) miscellaneous electrical system construction and maintenance work in customer owned substations.  Job Responsibilities

Establishes goals and objectives for their assigned  Maintenance and/or Construction  group with respect to work to be performed, personnel qualifications and costs.  Directs employees and makes decisions regarding work activities to accomplish these goals. Provides leadership to their assigned Maintenance and/or Construction group by conducting operational meetings and interfacing with multiple entities both internal and external to We Energies on operational, maintenance and design matters concerning electrical substation equipment and ancillary equipment.   Identify training needs and implement training plans for the effective development and utilization of assigned personnel.   Perform administrative functions of a first line supervisor including time sheet approval, coaching, counseling, administering discipline, performing employee reviews, etc. Compliance with OSHA, We Energies Protective Card Procedures, Safety Rules and Programs including conducting safety meetings, performing field safety audits, identifying areas in need of improvement and implementing corrective actions, and conducting accident investigations.  Identifies best practices relative to implementing the We Energies and ATC maintenance and inspection program to maximize the value of work performed and minimize the
