Principal Engineer – Safety-Critical Embedded Software What You'll Do As a Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and validation of safety-critical avionics software for next-generation aerospace platforms. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and validate complex safety-critical embedded software applications. Lead software development across the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Analyze customer and system requirements, translating them into high-level and low-level software requirements. Define software architecture, design approaches, and verification strategies. Develop and review software test plans, test cases, and validation procedures. Ensure compliance with aerospace certification standards and engineering best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Systems Engineering, Verification & Validation, Certification, and Program Management. Drive technical excellence while mentoring engineers and contributing to continuous process improvements.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related STEM discipline. 12+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably within the aerospace or other safety-critical industries. 8+ Years of Strong knowledge of aerospace software certification standards: DO-178 ARP4754A 6+ Years of Solid understanding of avionics communication protocols: ARINC 429 AFDX ARINC 653 ARINC 615A 8+ Years of Strong expertise in software lifecycle processes, requirements engineering, and verification methodologies. 7+ Years of Experience deriving software requirements from customer and system-level requirements. 8+ Years of Proven experience defining software verification and validation strategies.

6+ Years of Hands-on embedded software development experience using C++ . Programming experience in embedded systems and scripting languages. Knowledge of Flight Management Systems (FMS) .
