Our work involves electronic hardware for radar, missile and combat systems. The Andover, MA location has over 1 million square feet of manufacturing/production space where product is both assembled and tested. The Principal Engineer role will work as a Technical Lead for Raytheon GEM-T Manufacturing. What You Will Do Acts as a technical lead for Patriot GEM-T Manufacturing Engineering, supporting a large team of manufacturing engineers in day-to-day Drive strong technical problem solving in support of manufacturing operations Develop, maintain, and review Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs  Support a manufacturing area, as part of cross-functional team, by guiding the production team through process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP  Drive Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using CORE principles and data driven decision making  Engage in design development and/or transition to production at various product phases as the Manufacturing Engineering contributor. Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators, in-house as well as the supply base  Use manufacturing systems and software, including Microsoft and SAP based applications, to maintain production-relevant information and perform basic data
