As an Automation Systems Engineering team member, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of automation solutions and advanced IIoT / Industry 4.0 technologies in support of manufacturing. The role includes developing automation solutions for manufacturing equipment and their integration with business systems using a variety of Industry 4.0 tools (Splunk, Ignition or Aegis Factory Logix)..
What you will do
Collaborate with program and factory customers to identify, develop, and define manufacturing automation and digital solutions. Support early 'New Product Introduction' activities including Design for Manufacturing engagements to shape Raytheon products and automation solutions. Continuous improvement, upgrades, and sustainment of deployed automation systems using core Automation skills including data gathering from equipment and creating actionable human and automated actions for production flow. Collaborate with the factory to identify, development, and deploy process automation systems and digital solutions. Provide technical leadership through early project phases (ideation through project definition) and continued technical guidance after transition to the project execution team. Exposure and input to full I4.0 project lifecycle- from requirements generation to technical project management to execution & sustainment of automation projects. Qualifications you must have: Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. Experience with database administration in SQL Python, C#, Powershell or other scripting experience. Data analysis experience. Qualifications we Prefer: Active DOD Secret Clearance.. Strong communication skills including the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with deploying complex IIOT based systems. Ignition, Splunk or Aegis FactoryLogix development experience. Professional experience with the full life-cycle deployment and integration of automation systems Good knowledge of safety regulations (e.g. OSHA) and electrical compliances. Experience with control systems design (AutoCAD preferred).
