The Manager, Technical Product Management is a product leader within the Optum AI organization, accountable for leading product capabilities within a product portfolio by translating customer and business needs into actionable product solutions. Operating at the intersection of business, engineering, and delivery, this role drives feature prioritization, roadmap execution, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration while balancing customer experience, business outcomes, and technical feasibility. The role leverages customer insights and product performance metrics to enhance product value and adoption. It applies solid product-management discipline, business acumen, and technical aptitude to deliver measurable product outcomes, and serves as a trusted partner to engineering, business, and delivery teams. This position leads capability-level outcomes and may mentor junior product team members, with impact most often felt at the product or capability level.

Product Planning & Feature Delivery Drive feature and capability planning aligned to product strategy, roadmap, and OKRs Partner with engineering teams to define requirements, user stories, and product backlog priorities Translate customer insights into actionable product enhancements and solutions Manage prioritization and trade-offs across customer experience, business requirements, operational needs, and technical limitations Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery Collaborate with business, technology, and delivery stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery Support Agile product delivery processes using tools such as JIRA, Aha!, Rally, GitHub, and DevOps practices Lead cross-functional meetings and positively influence capability outcomes Partner with design and engineering to shape the user experience and drive product adoption through customer-focused product management practices Customer & Stakeholder Focus Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships, serving as a front-facing product representative Champion customer-centric product development, driving adoption and value realization at the capability level Performance & Operational Management Monitor feature-level budgets, roadmap execution, and product performance metrics Use data and performance insights to inform prioritization and continuous product improvement Team & Talent Mentor junior product team members and contribute to hiring and talent-development activities Contribute to the adoption of product-management best practices within the team Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment).
