This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, visibility, and security of our global network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing observability frameworks that provide real-time insights into network performance, availability, and user experience, while also driving compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal security policies. In this role, you will
Lead a team of high-performing network Observability engineers to develop our Observability frame work. Lead a team of high-performing network compliance engineers to develop our compliance frame work. Own the network observability and compliance roadmap, participating in cross-functional technology teams to steer our observability, compliance and Certification vision, and drive toward improved standards in our network governance and standards. Work closely and collaboratively with expert network architects and engineers across the larger Global Networks organization. Be accountable for driving the delivery and adoption of network observability and compliance practices and operating models across all Global Networks teams. Establish technical level relationships with other key disciplines within Marriott and partner to define and implement network observability, security and regulatory compliance. Implement telemetry strategies and advanced monitoring techniques to understand system behavior at a granular level. Establish technical relationships and partnering with business disciplines, MI teams, vendors, and suppliers to define and enforce the Network NRE observability roadmap. Manage the performance of the team members and provide mentorship for their growth and performance. CANDIDATE PROFILE Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field experience/certification 8+ years’ experience in a technical role within a Network/Security Engineering or Operations oranization designing and implementing complex and integrated networking solutions with multitudes of technologies including: 5+ years of experience with Network routing,switching,security operations and engineering 5+ years’ experience in Leading and managing technical teams. 5+ years of experience in creating network configurations complying to Global Security and Compliance Standards. Compliance and Vulnerability Management experience. 3+ years of experience in collecting, processing, and monitoring telemetry data, with a focus on analyzing, troubleshooting, and driving
