As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Employee Platform Technology team, you will design and deliver high-quality software solutions that support the firm's internal employee experience. Job responsibilities
Execute end-to-end software solutions including design, development, and technical troubleshooting across the full software development lifecycle Produce secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate synchronously with relevant systems Contribute to architecture and design artifacts for applications, ensuring that software code development meets established design constraints Gather, analyze, and synthesize large, diverse data sets to develop visualizations and reporting that drive continuous improvement of software applications Design and implement AI-powered features and agentic workflows that enhance employee-facing platforms Develop and optimize cloud-native integrations on AWS to support scalable and resilient platform capabilities Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience Hands-on experience with Python and AI coding assistants in a professional development environment Working knowledge of AI agents and agentic flows, including design and implementation patterns Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large-scale environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages Familiarity with agile methodologies, including continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security principles Practical cloud-native experience with AWS, including deployment and integration of cloud-based services Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
