Environmental Specialist II, III, IV

As an Environmental Specialist IV, you will need functional and technical expertise and skills in areas of air, water and/or waste. In this role, you will run projects and programs of moderate complexity that require a specialized breadth of expertise! Responsibilities/Expectations: Develops, maintains and provides guidance on environmental processes/policies Assesses environmental risk, provides recommendations to address risk and participates in or runs the approved course of action, including required regulatory documentation Participates in environmental project planning and implementation, including scheduling, cost estimating, preparation of environmental impact assessments and reporting Provides guidance and mentors others Prepares and submits sophisticated applications to procure environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and other authorizations and coordinate with company partners Performs environmental compliance audits and due diligence investigations, as the need arises Identifies environmental training needs and provides training Develops, recommends and implements improvements for systems and practices in air, water, waste management and/or remediation activities for assigned areas Prepares and submits all required compliance reports/certifications; develops and maintains documentation related to environmental compliance programs Cultivates relationships between Williams and regulatory agencies Interprets applicable federal, state and local environmental regulations and ensures compliance with such regulations Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum eight (8) years’ environmental experience Other Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills #LI-KM2 Why Houston?   Big career opportunities in one of the world’s energy capitals, endless food spots and a diverse vibe—all without paying NYC or LA prices.
