Job Responsibilites To maintain a very good relationship with Ocean carriers, Co-loaders and service providers. To maintain always the most updated local port charges, storage and demurrages.. To request rates from local carriers, as well as from destination/origin offices and compare the same with Share point and contract agreements. Quotes to be prepared using the Quoting Database or Approved Quote Format as per company policy. To keep good relationship with Sales, Customer Service and to collect feedback for each and every quote. Updating the Quote Log with feedback for Market analysis. To gather as much information as possible (carrier’s name, transit time, services used) to be able to quote better and get a high closing ratio. To run weekly report through the Quoting Database and analyze the information and keep department managers aware of the best carrier to use from the best port/airport. To keep all quotes submitted confidential. To always update the team with the GRI, PSS and rate fluctuations and changes whenever they occur.
