Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Industrial Engineer - 17264. This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. • Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering fundamentals (Production Intervals, Cycle Time, Takt Time, Standard Hour Content, Time Studies, EVMS, Continuous Improvement, Scheduling, Capacity Analysis, Facility Layouts) • Responsible for tracking lab hardware deliveries and maintaining detailed schedules and metrics to report status to upper leadership • Develop and maintain SQDEC (Schedule, Quality, Delivery, Employee, Cost) Boards with various metrics on a daily basis. • Understand principles of capacity (efficiencies, standards, constraints, etc.) • Knowledge of manufacturing flows and how they interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain • Understand labor standard development and work measurement. Create standard hour content for new scope. • Perform shop floor time studies on manufacturing and test activities. • Work with functional team to understand scheduling requirements at implementation sites • Ability to create detailed manufacturing waterfall schedules with setbacks to independent demands • Utilize process improvement methodology (e.g., value stream mapping, employee engagement techniques, flow reduction, etc.) • Design and optimize Shop Floor/Facility Layouts • Understand principals of cost management (Earned Value, Milestone payments) • Conduct Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs) with Suppliers • Engage and collaborate with various product teams and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements • Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution • Utilize your strong organizational, planning and decision-making skills and the ability to work as a team member and with other members from different technical backgrounds • Ability to coordinate with larger teams at different site locations • Create and present technical briefings for upper management and technical leadership Position Benefits: As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: - Medical, Dental & Vision coverage - 401k - Educational Assistance - Life Insurance - Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions - Paid Time Off - Health & Wellness Resources - Employee Discounts This positions standard work schedule
