Job Description
Job Summary AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Level II Landscape Architect/Designer with high quality visual design representation and narrative development capabilities for immediate employment in the New York City Landscape Architecture + Urban Design Studio. The studio is based in AECOM’s Manhattan office location.

The Landscape Architecture and Urban Design portfolio in the New York City studio includes a broad range of urban-based, multidisciplinary public realm projects, such as plazas, streetscapes, parks, waterfronts, infrastructure, urban design, master-planning, green infrastructure, and ecological restoration.
In collaboration with design studio leadership, the candidate will work closely with project design teams and project landscape architects, managers and designers to design and assist in the execution of projects within the New York City metropolitan area, nationally and internationally. Projects in the studio are design-driven with a commitment to design quality and involve close collaboration with engineers, planners, cost estimators, and other technical consultants.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Develop visual and articulate design narratives for landscape architecture and urban design projects within the studio. Deliver design quality through a full suite of design representation methods. Perform design work of landscape architecture studio at the direction and under the supervision of design leadership. Prepare materials for client and agency meetings. Performing landscape architecture calculations under the supervision of team leaders. Preparing and editing drawings as required. Perform construction administration tasks at the direction and under the supervision of team leaders.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture plus 2+ years of professional experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience. Highly visual thinkers capable of crafting design narratives through visual representation methods to support progression of design process. Ability to identify and develop design quality through all phases of the design process. Possesses the skills to generate exceptional two dimensional and three dimensional design graphics and narrative packages. Demonstrated production and digital rendering experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Rhino. Experience preparing construction documents, reports, and publication documents.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to effectively manage time and self-edit work. Proficiency and passion for
