The Opportunity
This role is responsible for operating finishing equipment to produce high-quality products while meeting safety, productivity, and customer requirements. The position plays a critical role in machine setup, quality assurance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring efficient production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate assigned finishing equipment safely and efficiently to meet production, quality, and performance expectations. Perform machine setup, make-ready activities, and routine preventive maintenance to support reliable equipment operation. Conduct quality inspections on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to 5S standards, safety requirements, and housekeeping expectations. Support food packaging safety, quality, continuous improvement, training, and corrective action initiatives throughout the department. Follow all company policies and procedures and promptly communicate safety or quality concerns to management. Assist with additional operational duties as assigned. What You Need to Succeed High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read, understand, and apply information from instruction manuals, procedure manuals, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to food packaging safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement. Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
