This role will be within the R&T department as part of the Engineering organization conducting research and development of primarily but not limited to Composite technologies based in Riverside, CA. What You Will Do: Lead and support the development of technologies in adherence with TRL and MRL toll gates. Working closely with Engineers and Engineering Technicians, supporting daily process development. Interacting between Engineering groups (programs, chief office engineer, aftermarket, manufacturing/operations, facilities, supply chain, test labs, suppliers and customers); ensuring on-time and quality execution of materials & process project tasks and deliverables. Utilize manufacturing process experience to provide technical support and consultation for executing prototype and demonstrator builds. Review, understand, provide feedback, and approve manufacturing planning documents. Ensures adherence to all compliance requirements (TRL, MRL, EHS, CMS, QMS, PPAP etc.) Engages in problem solving initiatives & challenges the status quo (e.g. root cause and corrective action investigations, OEE, FPY, customer escapes) Participates and contributes on Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and control build plans. Identifies opportunities on drawings and specifications to influence changes to engineering designs and line balancing. Participates in tool design reviews to ensure tools are feasible for processes. Participates in process improvement and continuous improvement activities. Implements results of lean manufacturing initiatives. 10% travel as needed. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
