The Physical Security Specialist supports physical security operations across assigned locations within the EMEA region. This position reports to the regional GPS Sr. Manager for US and EMEA. Working closely with the GPS Regional Supervisor in Austria, this role assists with security assessments, incident response, compliance activities, security technology administration, and coordination with internal stakeholders and security vendors to help protect employees, facilities, and company assets. What you’ll do
Security Operations • Support physical security operations at assigned EMEA locations in accordance with Global Physical Security standards and procedures. • Work closely with the GPS Regional Supervisor to implement security initiatives and support regional operational priorities. • Conduct site visits and provide security support as needed. • Supervise the guarding supplier and ensure their adherence to Lam Research post orders, procedures and policies. Risk Assessment and Security Reviews • Assist with security assessments, audits, and site reviews to identify vulnerabilities and security concerns. • Support the implementation of mitigation measures and corrective actions. • Maintain documentation related to security assessments and follow-up activities. Incident Response and Investigations • Respond to and document security incidents in accordance with established procedures. • Assist with investigations involving security incidents, policy violations, or workplace safety concerns. • Coordinate with site leadership, Human Resources, Facilities, Legal, and external responders when appropriate. Security Systems and Vendor Coordination • Support the administration of security technologies, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and visitor management systems. • Coordinate with security vendors and service providers to address operational issues and service requests. • Escalate system deficiencies, security concerns, and vendor performance issues to the GPS Regional Supervisor or Electronic Security Systems Manager. Compliance and Partnerships • Support compliance with company security policies and applicable regulations. • Partner with Facilities, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Legal, Global Information Systems, and other stakeholders on security-related matters. • Assist in promoting security awareness and best practices across assigned locations. Reporting and Documentation • Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, audits, and security-related activities. • Prepare routine reports and provide updates to the GPS Regional Supervisor regarding security issues, trends, and concerns. Who we’re looking for
Education
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree
Experience • 2–5 years of experience in physical security, corporate security, law enforcement, military, emergency management, or a related field. • Experience supporting multiple sites or international operations is preferred but not required. Knowledge & Skills • Working knowledge of access control, CCTV, visitor management, alarm monitoring, and incident response practices. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with limited supervision. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security management systems. Attributes • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to remain calm and effective during emergency situations.
