Job Function: Supply Chain Planning Job Sub Function: Demand Planning Job Category: Professional All Job Posting Locations: Shanghai, China Job Description: Depuy Synthes China Supply Chain Supervisor The Depuy Synthes Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for leading the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, driving in-market procedure forecast, coordinating demand and supply alignment, inventory optimization, and business performance tracking. This role serves as a key liaison among Commercial, Finance, Regional Supply Chain, and Distribution partners to ensure sustainable product availability, inventory health, and operational excellence across the business. The position also supports strategic initiatives including Volume-Based Procurement (VBP) scenario planning, supply chain transformation projects, and process digitalization to improve end-to-end planning capabilities. Approximate Percentage of Time Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Lead the monthly IBP cycle to ensure alignment between commercial demand, supply capability, and financial commitments. Drive in-market procedure forecasting by leveraging market intelligence, hospital activity trends, patient procedure volumes, and commercial insights to generate a realistic view of market demand and translate procedure forecasts into sales outlooks and NTS demand plans Monitor forecast accuracy, demand trends, and key business drivers to identify risks and opportunities. Conduct VBP scenario planning and evaluate potential supply chain and business impacts under different procurement scenarios. Manage demand handover and planning communication with Regional Supply Chain teams to support supply continuity. Business Performance Management Track and analyze key business indicators including IMS, NTS, forecast performance MAPE&BIAS&FVA, service level, inventory metrics, etc. Identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions to improve planning effectiveness. Lead Risk & Opportunity (R&O) assessments and provide scenario-based recommendations to support business decisions. Support management review meetings with insightful analysis and actionable recommendations. Inventory Health & Supply Management Monitor inventory performance across the supply chain, including Days of Supply (DOS), Customer Backorder, and Excess, Slow-Moving, and Obsolete (ESO) inventory. Collaborate with commercial and supply teams to balance demand fulfillment and inventory targets. Drive stock risk management initiatives and monitor inventory recovery plans. Support product lifecycle planning, including launch, phase-in, phase-out, and discontinuation activities. Distributor Supply Chain Management Monitor distributor inventory health and replenishment performance. Manage daily order fulfillment and replenishment planning to ensure target service levels are achieved. Analyze channel inventory trends and identify risks related to stock shortages or overstock situations.
