Manager, Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Addendum This position is responsible for leading GSOC operations in support of associate safety and protection of corporate assets. The Manager provides leadership across a 24/7 operational environment, guiding incident response, operational readiness, intelligence gathering, and cross-functional coordination during routine and critical events. This role is based in Columbus, Ohio and is expected to work in office. Schedule flexibility is required to support a 24/7 operation and respond to critical incidents or emerging security needs as necessary. Additional qualifications Experience in security operations, emergency management, GSOC, dispatch or command center operations, military operations, law enforcement dispatch, or a comparable 24/7 operational environment. Strong knowledge of GSOC operations, incident management, critical event communications, and incident command principles. Experience with intelligence gathering, threat monitoring, and enterprise security technologies. Experience using tools such as AI-enabled systems, automation platforms, intelligence monitoring tools, mass communication systems, video management systems, access control platforms, and reporting tools. Strong collaboration, briefing, and writing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across security teams, leadership, and key business stakeholders. This position requires daily in-office presence in Columbus, Ohio, and candidates must reside within a commutable distance of Columbus. As a Security Manager, you’ll organize and lead the physical security and life safety functions for the company-owned and leased facilities. You’ll also lead teams of uniformed Security Officers who patrol the areas surrounding our corporate campuses and manage special security projects. We’ll count on you to develop and lead programs to provide protection for all Nationwide associates around your assigned campus.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Leads the development of plans and the implementation of security and life safety programs to maintain and/or improve the level of security at assigned Nationwide properties. Conducts investigations into security incidents, breaches, or potential threats, and develops incident response plans and protocols. Handles and maintains knowledge of the latest state-of-the-art security equipment. Develops plan for and advises on the preventive maintenance programs for life/safety equipment. Assesses equipment needs and recommends purchases of security equipment, including security force uniforms and equipment. Assists with development and maintenance of the executive protection program. Recommends and maintains home alarm systems at executive residences. Manages operational procedures and training programs for all security officers, including firearms training and the issuing of firearms according to the firearm policy and with approval of the Sr
