A major focus of the PRISM program is to identify, prioritize and implement Cost Improvement Project (CIP) opportunities. Our team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists are at the forefront of technology in the medical device industry. As a key member of our group, you will be making vital contributions to the Endo-mechanical & Energy (EM&E) Supply Chain pipeline by improving cost, driving value in our devices, and improving patient care through innovation. You will work with various internal teams and external suppliers to develop robust metal and plastic part designs, electronic subassembly designs, tooling and manufacturing processes that meet or exceed all product requirements at the lowest possible manufacturing cost. Collaborate with external suppliers and internal partners to develop medical device components Plan, develop, qualify, and stabilize component development process solutions for Prism projects Influence the product design by providing component and subassembly DFM and COGS feedback Identify, evaluate, and develop potential new suppliers Review supplier tooling designs and qualification plans Mentor staff on component development Review testing, verification, and validation activities to ensure conformance to product and customer specifications.
