About this role
AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud. Our team empowers every customer to grow by providing tailored service, unmatched technology, and unwavering support. We dive deep to understand each customer's unique challenges, then craft innovative solutions that accelerate their success. This customer-first approach is how we built the world's most adopted cloud. Join us and help us grow. Would you like to be part of an awesome team focused on AWS customers in the Retail / Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) segment to help them create business value and unlock new business models with the cloud? Are you an innovator with a passion to help our customers grow? Do you have the technology as well as the business acumen to establish Amazon Web Services as a strategic partner for leading Retail/CPG companies? Are you comfortable to think outside the box and do you see opportunities where others see problems? Key job responsibilities As a Principal Account Manager within AWS Retail/CPG, you are driving digital transformations through effective engagement with C-level executives, Line of Business leaders, IT leaders, architects, developers, etc. at our large AWS Retail/e-Commerce and CPG customers. Your responsibility will be to deeply understand your customers to support them on their strategic initiatives with AWS technologies and expertise, establishing AWS as a long-term partner. You are comfortable to lead discussions on both technical as well as on the C-Level to create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services. You work backwards from your customers’ vision and strategic initiatives to build account strategies and execute against them. To be successful in this role, you have relevant technology sales experience and cloud expertise. You need the ability to think big and work “backwards” from the customer to identify new business opportunities and develop sales strategies and plans to meet them. You have strong analytical acumen, synthesis, structuring, and problem-solving skills to translate ambiguous and often incomplete information into action plans and insights. You need a strong passion for “invention” and “simplification,” proven experience in cross-functional management and stakeholder coordination (e.g. with engineers, solution architects, specialist teams, professional services, partners, independent software vendors, etc.), and a customer-focused and collaborative approach. You benefit from a passion for annual reports and have strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate clearly and facilitate collaboration with other teams.
