Position Purpose

Sealed Air is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Manager to join our fast-paced R&D Systems Engineering group in Streetsboro, Ohio. In this critical role, you will lead the Electrical Engineering team in developing electrical control hardware and software for Sealed Air’s Protective equipment, including our flagship family of fully automated packaging systems. You will provide functional management and technical leadership across all phases of product development, from concept through manufacturing release. This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, contribute effectively as part of a team, ensure designs meet industry standards, and secure required agency approvals, including CE, UL, and CSA. Scope

The R&D Electrical Engineering Manager leads a team of electrical, automation, and controls engineers responsible for the development, design, testing, and implementation of innovative products, systems, and technologies. This role provides both technical and people leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, including scope definition, resource planning, execution, risk mitigation, and problem resolution. The position is responsible for developing team capability, ensuring engineers have the tools, training, and support needed to succeed, and fostering strong cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Development Engineering, Quality, and other key stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality solutions. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing R&D Electrical Engineering team across electrical, automation, and controls disciplines. Provide technical leadership for the design, development, validation, and implementation of electrical and control system solutions. Define project scope, priorities, resource plans, and timelines to ensure successful execution of R&D initiatives. Make sound, independent decisions and effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while taking ownership of issues and driving timely resolution.
