You Are You are a technical leader with deep experience in emulation or verification and a proven ability to lead high-performing applications engineering teams. You remain close to the technology, understand complex customer issues, and know how to guide teams through challenging debug, deployment, and adoption scenarios. You are equally comfortable engaging with customers, partnering across product and R&D, and making practical decisions that balance technical depth, business priorities, and team capacity. Your leadership style combines hands-on credibility with the judgment to scale through others. You develop strong engineers, create focus, and ensure the team delivers solutions that help customers succeed.

Lead and grow a team of applications engineers supporting Synopsys emulation products across customer engagements, deployments, and technical escalations Stay hands-on with customer issues, emulation workflows, and product behavior so you can make informed technical decisions and guide your team through complex scenarios Work directly with customers during critical phases of adoption, deployment, and scale to ensure they succeed with our emulation platforms Partner with product management, R&D, and field teams to translate customer feedback and technical gaps into actionable product improvements Build team capability through hiring, mentoring, and creating the conditions for engineers to do their best technical work Own the technical relationship with strategic accounts, ensuring alignment between customer needs and engineering priorities Balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, knowing when to dive in and when to delegate The Impact You Will Have Your team will directly influence how customers adopt, deploy, and scale emulation in their verification flows, which determines whether they hit their tapeout schedules The technical solutions and workflows your engineers build will become repeatable patterns that accelerate time-to-value across the customer base Customer feedback you surface and prioritize will shape the emulation product roadmap and drive improvements that benefit the entire market Engineers on your team will grow their technical depth and leadership capability under your mentorship, becoming the next generation of technical leaders at Synopsys Strategic accounts will stay engaged and expand their use of Synopsys emulation because your team delivers consistent, high-quality technical support Product and R&D teams will make better decisions because you bring real customer context and technical insight to the table The balance you strike between technical execution and team leadership will set the standard for how applications engineering operates across the business What You'll Need 15+ years in applications engineering, field engineering, or customer-facing technical roles in EDA, semiconductor, or verification domains Deep hands-on experience with emulation platforms, verification methodologies, or hardware-software co-verification Proven track record leading technical teams, ideally in applications engineering or customer success roles Ability to debug complex
