Job Description
Job Family Definition: Leads the sales team to drive growth and profitability. Builds a high-performing team, manages sales execution and forecasting, and strengthens customer and partner relationships. Supports complex deals and drives pipeline growth aligned with HPE strategy. Management Level Definition: Manages a sales team and is accountable for results (revenue, people, operations). Provides guidance, drives execution, and supports team development. Typically reports to Director level. Additional guidance/criteria: Manages and controls activities within a single country (Sweden) Manages a team of ~8–15 people Responsibilities: Managing the Business: Sales coverage – Build targeted business plans and allocate resources to drive sales and margins; collaborate across teams to prioritize and direct activities. Account planning – Support sales strategy and processes; align account plans with corporate strategy; manage geography plans to meet revenue targets; ensure accurate forecasting, progress tracking, and regular reviews. Pipeline management – Build, track, and manage a healthy pipeline (short and long term); monitor size, quality, and win/loss performance. Deal management – Review deals to ensure quality and smooth execution; track deal progress and governance. Business acumen – Apply business, financial, and legal understanding to improve performance and align operations with company direction. Strategic sales planning & implementation – Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share and drive profitable growth. Competitive positioning – Use market insights to strengthen positioning and counter competitors in customer engagements. Leading & Managing Sales People Coaching & performance management – Manage and develop team performance; support individuals through challenges and drive results across all performers. Leadership – Lead by example; motivate and support teams in winning and closing deals. People development – Drive skill development to increase team productivity and impact. Change management – Lead the team effectively through change and transformation. Attract and hire top talent to the team Selling as a Sales Manager: Strategic direction – Align team activities with company strategy and support solution positioning based on customer needs. C-level engagement – Build strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders and decision-makers. Consultative selling – Coach teams on identifying and advancing opportunities; support client engagements and ensure access to the right resources. Industry & client knowledge – Stay up to date on market trends and customer challenges; position solutions aligned to business needs.
Your profile
Education and Experience Required: Proven sales leadership experience with strong results Project management skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 7+ years experience in IT sales Fluency in both English and Swedish are required Knowledge and Skills Business Management: Proven ability to execute sales strategy and manage pipeline, forecasting, and overall performance
