As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications. Job Function Provide technical support to Qualcomm customers to enable commercialization of Qualcomm solutions Serve as the primary interface for customers, including OEMs, ODMs, and distributors, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and customer satisfaction Lead customer issue debugging across domains, including functional, certification, performance, stability, and applications Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution and accelerate customer deliverables Deliver technical guidance on system architecture, debugging methodologies, and best practices to customers Support customer engagements such as technical discussions, on-site support, and product demonstrations Develop technical materials, including application notes, training content, and demo documentation, to enhance customer enablement Skills / Experience 3+ years of experience in WLAN/BT, audio, or mobile RF/software development and customer support Solid understanding of Wireless RF behavior, system architecture, and troubleshooting methodologies Hands-on experience in debugging complex issues across software, RF, and system levels Experience implementing software/firmware algorithms in C and Python Experience developing drivers for UART, I2C, SPI, I2S and related interfaces Experience working directly with hardware Good understanding of audio signal processing and acoustic algorithms, including ANC, ENC, cVc, etc. Experience optimizing DSP algorithms for embedded platforms Good understanding of Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth LE, LE Audio, or related wireless audio technologies Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear and actionable insights Proven analytical and problem-solving capability in customer-facing environments Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of independently driving issues to closure Familiarity with voice, music, and wearable audio products such as earbuds, headphones, speakers, or smart audio devices is highly desirable Responsibilities Act as the primary SW CE contact to support Qualcomm solutions Manage customer cases across functional domains and ensure timely resolution Debug and resolve issues spanning software, RF, hardware interaction, system integration, and certification Drive cross-team collaboration to resolve escalations and critical/blocking issues Provide onsite and remote support for customer issue analysis, requirement clarification, and integration guidance Support pre-sales activities, external demos, and customer technical discussions to enable business opportunities Deliver technical training, documentation, and knowledge sharing to improve customer capability and reduce support load Education Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
