Position Summary Crown Holdings is seeking an experienced Senior Programmer Analyst to join our centralized Information Systems team supporting manufacturing operations across the United States and Canada. This position plays a key role in the development, modernization, enhancement, and support of critical business applications that support customer order management, manufacturing, production control, and financial operations. The ideal candidate combines strong IBM i technical expertise with business analysis skills and a passion for delivering reliable, scalable solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with business stakeholders, lead development efforts, mentor team members, and contribute to strategic application modernization initiatives.

Design, develop, test, and support business-critical applications on the IBM i platform. Lead application enhancements and modernization efforts, including RPG IV/ILE to RPG Free conversions. Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Support Crown's Customer Order Management System (COMS) and Manufacturing, Production Control, and Accounting Systems (CMPAS). Develop and optimize SQL-based solutions and database structures. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring system stability and performance. Create technical specifications, documentation, test plans, and implementation strategies. Participate in project planning, effort estimation, and technical design reviews. Serve as a technical lead on assigned initiatives and provide guidance to less experienced developers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, finance, customer service, and operations. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation supporting mission-critical business systems. Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications 7+ years of application development and support experience in an IBM i (AS/400) environment. Strong experience with: RPG Free RPG IV / ILE RPG SQL CL Programming Db2 for i Experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing enterprise business applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, and financial business processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams. Strong Knowledge of APIs, web services, and systems integration Preferred Qualifications Experience with application modernization initiatives. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 technologies. Knowledge of the Infor Infinium financial suite. Familiarity with IBM Rational Developer for i (RDi). Experience with change management and deployment tools such as TurnOver and Hawkeye.
