Position Summary
In addition to managing a wide variety of events at the complex, the E vent Manager also serves as a multi-faceted event manager for producing all levels and types of events. Prepares event outlines and scaled drawings of event areas. Coordinates equipment and personnel service distribution and other functions and duties as required by the event. Serves as manager on-site, delegating assignments and maintaining contact with the event promoter from planning the event, move-in of the event to the facility, the actual event, and move-out of the event. As Event Manager, you are responsible for supervising facility operations, including outside contractors and facility employees. Prepares and compiles and communicates lessee event expense information for use by the business department in financial settlement of the event. The Event Manager will also support overseeing the box office and will control ticket inventories and oversee the processing of orders and payments. Utilizing ticketing software, he/she will create ticketing for events and financial reports and manage and participate in the development and administration of an annual budget. The Event Manager is responsible for the selection, training, motivation, and evaluation of all part-time personnel and the management of all aspects of customer service related to internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in ticketing, staff management, and customer service. This role pays an annual salary of $45,000-$50,000 Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays) This position will remain open until October 30, 2026.
About the Venue
The Thief River Falls Complex is a multi-venue complex in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. The complex includes the Ralph Engelstad Arena, Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center, the Multi Events Center, and the Thief River Falls Tourist Park.
