Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a MBSE Systems Engineer (Engineer or Principal Engineer) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL. In this role, you will perform system engineering activities for all levels of a total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance. You'll also perform use case development and prepare systems engineering artifacts, including the definition of Features and Subsystem Features to be developed by program Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to implement customer-requested capabilities. Finally, you also will communicate Features and Subsystem Features relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs systems integration, and verification for total systems. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software features. Support Feature Definition, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into Features, and further allocate to lower levels. Coordinate across ARTs to ensure full decomposition of Features Define and execute overall system verification plan and associated products for FCA. Coordinate verification with ARTs to ensure proper verification roll-up. Manage overall verification products in support of system sell-off. Work on an agile team utilizing Jira to track work progress This position may be filled at the Engineer or Principal Engineer based on the qualifications below. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: At the Engineer Level: Must have a Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM field and at least 2 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and at least some of relevant military / professional / academic experience At the Principal Engineer Level: Must have a Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and at least 3 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 1 year of relevant military / professional / academic experience And at Both Levels: Must have an active US Government Secret or higher clearance (with a
