We are seeking a hands-on and analytically strong Credit Risk Individual Contributor to support the execution of our credit initiatives in Brazil and help create access to affordable payment methods. You will own the development and optimization of credit policies, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to manage and improve our digital credit products. The ideal candidate possesses solid credit risk management experience, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record executing credit strategies end-to-end. You must be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Key job responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor fraud prevention and detection strategies across the customer lifecycle (application fraud, transactional fraud, account takeover, and identity theft), aligned with risk appetite and false positive thresholds. Analyze fraud performance across attempt rates, capture rates, false positive rates, chargeback rates, and net losses to identify attack vectors and optimization opportunities. Design and execute A/B tests to improve fraud rules, velocity checks, device fingerprinting, and authentication triggers while minimizing friction for legitimate customers. Partner with Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Credit teams to embed automated fraud controls into customer journeys balancing prevention with conversion. Monitor external fraud trends and emerging attack methodologies, proactively proposing enhancements to detection capabilities. Build fraud dashboards with real-time monitoring of emerging patterns for senior leadership and stakeholders. Support fraud risk frameworks including investigation protocols, SAR reporting, and dispute management, ensuring compliance with local regulations and payment network rules.
