Aon South Africa is looking to employer a Team Leader, this is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our head office in Sandton. The role of the team leader entails being responsible for overseeing client relationship advisors by managing their day-to-day operations while maintaining their own client portfolio. What the day will look like Manage their personal client portfolio by maintaining strong relationships and delivering tailored solutions. Responsible for revenue growth within the team Provide excellent client service to their clients by setting a benchmark for their team to emulate. Ability to balance leadership with managing their own portfolio. Strong organizational skills with a passion for client excellence. Reviewing team’s renewals to ensure that are done according to MOS. Resolving any backlogs by allocating resources effectively to meet client demands without compromising service quality. Provide action plans to improve turnaround times for critical client requests. Provide hands on training and coaching on commercial insurance products, upselling techniques, and operational best practices. Identify skills gaps and training needs and facilitate training through Leadership and Development Share expertise in commercial insurance such as multi-peril, travel, CAR, motor fleet and Body corporates. Increase client centricity by promoting active engagement with clients through our digital channels. Track team performance such as age analysis, outstanding renewals, retention rates and upselling success. Provide monthly report to manager detailing the team’s achievements, challenges and recommendation for process improvements. Address any underperformance and provide recommendations for improvement. Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to excellence in both team interactions and client service. Support team morale by celebrating milestones and fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose. Organize quarterly virtual team-meetings to maintain a strong team culture despite remote work. Be the first point of contact of escalation for the team by helping resolve conflicts or challenges efficiently and diplomatically. Conduct regular check-ins by having one-on-ones and team meetings to track progress, resolve issues and align team goals with Aon’s objectives. Provide constructive feedback and development plans tailored to each team member’s needs. Empower the team to develop their skills and take ownership of their roles while maintaining accountability. Work collaboratively with all stakeholders within Aon as well as external. Skills and experience that will lead to success Qualifications. A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent A Bachelors degree or certificate is preferable Must be registered with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS ACT. Knowledge. Individual with knowledge of the principles and practices within a technical/ professional discipline. Be computer literate with advanced experience in MS Word & Excel Good knowledge of Policy wordings Sophisticated computer literacy with advanced experience in MS Word and Excel.
