Job Description
An opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Project Lead (EFA FAL & Prototypes) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Combat ME Team, which is responsible for driving process industrialisation, technology innovation, business operations support (BO&S), and shop floor sustaining across Eurofighter Typhoon (EFA) Final Assembly Line (FAL) activities and prototype developments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Business Operations & Strategy (BO&S) processes , managing subcontracting, planning, CAPEX, risk & opportunities, and booking hours while acting as Export Control Focal Point & Technical Rater. Drive process industrialisation and change management , ensuring aircraft configuration control, manufacturing structure definition, and alignment with ME standards. Provide shop floor sustaining and operational support , resolving manufacturing issues and gathering feedback through Kaizen and Practical Problem Solving (PPS). Assess, develop, and integrate innovative manufacturing technologies to address future business requirements and deliver mature, competitive solutions. Create, update, and manage technical documentation (Work Orders, Technical Instructions, Job Cards) according to Manufacturing Engineering standards. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to solve complex technical problems, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Education
Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Industrial or a related discipline).
Experience
Between 2 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, process industrialisation, and planning. Soft skills: High organization and prioritization skills, proactive teamwork attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to thrive under pressure in dynamic environments. Languages: Negotiation level in both English and Spanish (written and spoken). Technical knowledge: Proficiency in BO&S Management, tools (SAP, Excel, DeMaT, CMS, SIPLA, 3DAV), pulse line methodologies, and shop floor sustaining. Flexibility to work rotating shifts and public holidays when required. Valuable / Nice to have: Experience in Part 21 or MRO/Part 145 environments; active NATO Secret clearance (HPS).
