Technical Product Manager

Leidos is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead product strategy, roadmap development, and customer engagement for a secure Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution supporting the U.S. Space Force's Space Systems Command. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between mission stakeholders and platform engineering, ensuring platform capabilities align with operational priorities while advancing the long-term product vision. You will collaborate closely with mission teams to identify challenges, gather requirements, and translate customer needs into prioritized features that deliver measurable mission value. Working alongside engineering, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps teams, you will help shape product direction, balance competing priorities, and guide the evolution of cloud-native platform capabilities. The ideal candidate combines strong product management experience with a technical understanding of cloud technologies, software engineering, and DevSecOps, along with the ability to influence stakeholders, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and deliver innovative, scalable solutions that support critical national security missions. **This position requires 25% travel** Key Responsibilities Include: Serve as the primary product owner for assigned mission area platform user, representing customer priorities while maintaining alignment with the long-term platform strategy. Lead mission-focused technical engagement with stakeholders to understand operational challenges, gather product requirements, and identify opportunities for new platform capabilities. Develop, maintain, and communicate a prioritized product roadmap that balances mission value, engineering effort, technical debt, security, and operational sustainability. Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics that enable engineering teams to deliver high-quality platform capabilities. Partner with platform engineers, software engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and mission stakeholders to evaluate solution alternatives, technical tradeoffs, and implementation approaches. Facilitate product planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and feature prioritization to ensure engineering efforts align with mission objectives. Analyze customer feedback, operational metrics, and platform usage data to continuously improve the developer experience and platform capabilities. Identify recurring customer needs and translate common requirements into scalable platform services that benefit multiple mission teams. Communicate product vision, roadmap priorities, feature status, and release plans to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure delivered capabilities satisfy customer expectations, support platform engineering standards, and contribute to long-term platform evolution. Build trusted relationships across engineering teams and mission stakeholders through technical credibility, transparency, and effective communication. Continuously evaluate industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities that improve platform capabilities and mission outcomes.
