About this role
Do you want to lead automation projects that power complex subsea control systems and shape the next generation of industrial technology? Are you ready to take the lead in developing automation software that drives some of the world’s most advanced subsea control systems? Partner with the best Mechanical Engineering is a field that combines physics, chemistry, and mathematics principles with materials science, to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. Mechanical engineering requires an understanding of core disciplines including mechanics, structural dynamics, rotor dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid and aero dynamics, materials science and structural analysis. Mechanical Engineers leverage principles from these core sub-disciplines with computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and product lifecycle management tools to create and analyze industrial equipment, or processes such as fluid transport, liquid/gas compression, combustion or heating and cooling systems. Fuel your passion As a part of the Global Manifold, Distribution & Connection (MDC) Systems Engineering & Technology group, dedicated to design of various subsea equipment, including manifolds and distribution systems, in particular connectors and their relevant tooling and ancillaries (clamp/hydraulic connectors, seals, hubs, caps, alignment structures, lifting/deployment equipment, testing equipment, ROV tools).Within this organization, the whole design cycle of subsea connection systems, from concept development to final engineering release of parts, drawings and related technical documentation, interacting with internal stakeholders and customers; eventually, alsorequired to support fabrication (including disposition of non-conformities) and installation campaigns. create 3D CAD models and drawings in CREO/IPEM environment, creating technical documents for internal/customer circulation, as well as preparing/managing bills of materials (BOM’s) in Teamcenter database. execute these activities and coordinating internal peers and/or external resources made available by our Engineering Services Partners (ESP’s) across the globe. As a Lead Engineer, Customer Order Engineering - Mechanical you will be responsible for: Developing designs of subsea clamp/hydraulic connectors, in line with applicable international industry standards, collaborating with internal colleagues and ESP’s. Arranging design reviews, providing applicable documentation on manufacturing, assembly, testing and installation of designed items. Knowing in depth design methodologies, quality policies and practices of subsea components with specific focus on connectors. Knowing and commonly applying main industry standards for subsea oil & gas industry, including ISO (in particular ISO 13628), API (in particular, specs 6A, 17D, 17R), ASME (in particular, Pressure Vessel Codes, B31.3 and B31.8), NACE (in particular, MR 0175), DNVGL (in particular, DNVGL-ST-E271, DNVGL-ST-E273, DNVGL-RP-F112, DNV-ST-F101, DNV-RP-B401), NORSOK, EUROCODE. Preparing and managing engineering tasks aimed at releasing engineering parts, drawings and documentation. Partnering with peers and other functions, including Project Management/Planning, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, in order to meet overall Company’s goals in terms of quality, budget consumption and timely delivery. Ensuring support during Test and Assembly activities, as appropriate. Owning design reviews of the assigned scope, including materials, manufacturing and product safety/environmental reviews. Executing disposition of non-conformances. To be successful in this role you will: MSc. (or BSc.) from an accredited university/college in Mechanical Engineering (or similar). 5+ years experience within the oil & gas industry, preferably with direct exposure to subsea equipment 3+ experience with Teamcenter, CREO, Office suite. Ability to work autonomously and comfortably within a global multicultural
