About this role
At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader — we’re changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We’re committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts. Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work — every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet. Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all. About the Team and the Role: eBay is looking for an experienced, highly driven product leader to own the international growth of eBay Balance - our stored-value, wallet product. In this role, you will define how eBay Balance serves customers across non-U.S. North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, with an initial focus on markets such as Canada, Australia, and selected European countries. You will build experiences that enable customers to receive funds, hold value, reload their balance, and spend that value back on eBay. This is not a localization or feature-maintenance role. It is an end-to-end product ownership opportunity: identifying the highest-potential customer use cases, shaping the international strategy, launching new capabilities, and creating the adoption flywheel that makes eBay Balance an everyday part of how customers engage with eBay. You will work at the intersection of payments, commerce, and financial services - operating at the scale and complexity of one of the world’s largest global marketplaces. What You Will Accomplish: Own the international product strategy and roadmap for eBay Balance across Canada, Australia, Europe, and additional non-U.S. markets. Identify the most valuable regional customer problems and determine where eBay Balance can create differentiated value for buyers and sellers. Design and improve the complete stored-value lifecycle, including how customers: Receive or earn funds Add or reload money Hold and manage their balance Spend funds back on the eBay platform Develop new product features, incentives, and customer experiences that increase activation, adoption, repeat usage, and spend. Build a market expansion framework that balances customer demand, business opportunity, regulatory requirements, operational readiness, and platform scalability. Lead products from discovery through launch and optimization, bringing structure and momentum to complex, ambiguous initiatives. Use customer research, behavioral data, financial analysis, and experimentation to identify friction, validate opportunities, and make high-quality product decisions. Define and own success metrics such as activation, funded accounts, reload behavior, balance retention, repeat usage, spend-through, and incremental business impact. Partner closely with the product leader responsible for U.S. eBay Balance to build shared platform capabilities while addressing market-specific customer and regulatory needs. Align and influence stakeholders across engineering, design, analytics, business, payments, operations, finance, risk, legal, and compliance. Communicate strategy, priorities, tradeoffs, and business results clearly to senior leaders and executive stakeholders. Establish repeatable capabilities that allow eBay Balance to expand efficiently into additional markets over time.
What You Will Bring
7+ years of product management experience, with meaningful experience in payments, digital wallets, stored-value products, fintech, financial services, or commerce. A track record of shipping and scaling complex customer-facing products across multiple teams or markets. Solid understanding of payment flows, funding methods, money movement, wallet experiences, or account-based financial products. Demonstrated success driving
