Senior UI Engineer

Job Title: Senior UI Engineer Corporate Title: AVP Location: Bangalore, India Role Description Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments. Work includes: Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank. Strong problem solving. Strong communication. Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Familiarity with REST, JSON, and asynchronous programming. Experience in building scalable enterprise level software. Expert in JavaScript and ecosystem. Exceptional Code Quality   Strong troubleshooting skills Experience in working with Agile Methodologies. Experience in mentoring junior devs.  Ability to understand business context and how to work with business stakeholders. Best Practices adoption and overall architecture understanding. Should have good understanding of UX/UI principles. Should have good understanding of web performance optimisation. Has a good exposure in other areas - BackEnd and DevOps. Should have worked as a full stack dev. Should have worked on tooling and CI/CD. Ability to identify new talent as well as mentoring the existing talent pool. Implement pixel‑perfect, responsive UI screens based on UX designs and product specifications. Optimize front-end applications for performance, scalability, and cross‑browser compatibility. Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, GraphQL, and microservices. Build reusable UI modules and evolve shared component libraries/design systems. Work with QA to automate UI testing and ensure high-quality releases. Troubleshoot production UI issues and provide L3 support when needed Your skills and experience Strong experience with React.js, Hooks, Context API, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience integrating frontends with APIs or data‑driven interfaces. Strong foundation in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, responsive design, and accessibility. Experience with Redux/Redux Toolkit or other state‑management frameworks. Familiarity with Next.js, React Query, or similar frameworks. Good understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, streaming APIs. Exposure to testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress. Experience building secure, enterprise‑grade web UIs consuming backend APIs Understanding of UI performance, accessibility, and usability considerations Experience with Agile/DevOps, Git, Jenkins, Jira. Experience with visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js) Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business
