Job Description

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for Cross Domain Aircraft System Engineers to join our Cross Domain Systems Engineering Team based in Getafe (Madrid), Spain. You will be part of a team developing system engineering activities for our Air Power products. As part of Cross Domain System Engineering Team , you will be involved in the entire platform development life-cycle from requirement analysis, system definition, development up to integration and certification/qualification, aiming at supporting the systems development from transversal disciplines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the corresponding discipline for Cross Domain System Engineering. Being part of a multicultural and multidisciplinary team working in different military programs under our product portfolio. Reinforcing the team in order to ensure the implementation of complex design solutions within different challenging military projects. Covering all the complete development V cycle: from customer/airworthiness requirements capture to aircraft certification, aircraft delivery and in-service aircraft support. The Air Power Business Unit is one of the most successful ones in Airbus Defence & Space. The multidisciplinary/multiprogram team also offers the possibility of collaboration between systems and programs. PROFILES In the Cross Domain System Engineering team we are looking for candidates passionate about engineering, who want to make a change of perspective in their career and flexible to adapt to the most pure technical tasks with capability to manage technical interfaces, stakeholders or supplier management. The profiles we are looking for are: AIR CONDITIONING AND OXYGEN SYSTEMS ENGINEER : We are looking for two Air Conditioning and Oxygen Systems engineers. This team is responsible for crew support and air systems in Airbus DS. The scope considers pneumatic, airconditioning, ice protection, oxygen and crew escape systems for all militaryplatforms, including new programs. The team is considered as a reference not just internally but externally in the different international program consortiums (e.g. EF, A400M). Additionally air systems are expected to evolve in order to adapt to new aircraft concepts. Therefore, Research and Innovation is one of our core activities. ELECTROMAGNETIC EFFECTS SYSTEM ENGINEER : We are looking for one Electromagnetics Effects System engineer to join a team responsible for the proper application of the Electromagnetic Effects discipline to the Military aircrafts from a system engineering point of view, especially those with mission role and fitted with a significant number of Radiofrequency systems and external radiation and electrical environments. Being in charge of designing and validating the electromagnetic protections for aircraft structures and systems aiming at protecting the aircraft from harmful effects generated by other co-installed systems and external environments. HARDWARE/SOFTWARE ASSURANCE ENGINEER : We are looking for a Hardware/Software Assurance Engineer to define and implement processes that substantiate system compliance with RTCA/DO-254 and/or RTCA/DO-178 standards. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison with Certification Authorities, monitor supplier development, and ensure traceability in complex electronic hardware and software design. Key responsibilities include performing anticipatory reviews to correct design deficiencies and managing documentation milestones. Requirements include an Engineering degree, deep mastery of DO-254/DO-178, and negotiation- level in both English and Spanish. HUMAN FACTORS AND COCKPIT LAYOUT ENGINEER : We are looking for two Human Factors and Cockpit Layout engineers. Human Factors Engineering is responsible for a holistic development of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for all relevant operators workstations within Military Air platforms, e.g. cockpits, flight decks, mission consoles and ground control stations.
