Locations In this role you can work from Remote, United States Overview GitHub's Creative & Brand team is looking for a Presentation Designer to help bring our stories to life. This person will collaborate with our Executive Communications and senior leadership teams in the conceptualization, design, and development of internal and external presentations, including developing or refining iconography, illustration, and layout. This role serves as a key ambassador, building positive perception of the GitHub brand known and loved by developers around the world. As a Presentation Designer at GitHub, you’ll work directly with executives, company spokespeople, and communications leads to creatively translate narratives into clear, compelling, and visually interesting presentations. Your portfolio demonstrates mastery of layout, hierarchy, color, typography, infographics, and animation and transitions. You’re passionate about setting a high bar and maintaining excellence in every aspect of your work, from communication to production. You understand business marketing collateral, graphic design, design systems, and how to translate complex messages and stories into elegant, easy-to-understand visuals. You develop presentation assets, templates, and frameworks, ensuring they remain current and easily accessible to stakeholders and collaborators. Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders and design and communications leads to understand goals and target audiences and establish a visual strategy for impactful stories. Develop patterns, illustrations, iconography, infographics, and other graphic assets to create visually compelling decks and brand internal programs. Use GitHub’s design system and brand guidelines to create and ensure consistency across company presentations, including town halls, executive keynotes, and sales and product decks. Deliver compelling design production under tight timelines. Manage multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders. Use AI-enabled workflows to increase production capacity while preserving craft, judgment, and technical credibility. Raise the quality, distinctiveness, and consistency of developer-facing creative expression.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience at an agency or in brand marketing, communications, marketing strategy, social media, customer evidence, or a related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 3+ years experience at an agency or with brand marketing, communications, marketing strategy, social media, customer evidence, or related field OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience at an agency or with brand marketing, communications, marketing strategy, social media, customer evidence, or related field OR equivalent experience. 3+ years experience executing a communications or marketing strategy. 3+ years experience with marketing and campaign management. 3+ years experience working cross-functionally with other teams (e.g., Design, Communications, Revenue, Customer Success, external agencies/internal).
