We are seeking a visionary leader to oversee a talented and diverse team of Engineering Project Leads and Project Engineers In this role, you'll champion design excellence, drive schedule and budget success, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will be at the forefront of developing state-of-the-art seating actuation systems and components that set new standards in safety, quality, and performance. Our interiors team is looking for a Senior Test Technician to perform aircraft seat structural testing. This is an onsite position in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
What You Will Do
Collaborate to set up and test commercial aircraft seats and furniture, ensuring high-quality and functional outcomes in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks, contributing practical assistance to streamline project processes. Confer with engineers on the details and implications of test article set up, test procedures, and results, fostering improved communication and outcomes. Demonstrate proficiency with a variety of hand tools to efficiently build and set up structural tests in accordance with FAA regulations. Apply mechanical and manufacturing concepts to ensure precision and functionality throughout the project lifecycle. Communicate effectively with excellent written and oral skills, thriving in a collaborative team environment. Utilize basic to moderate computer skills to support project documentation and daily operations. Leverage working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel to manage data and maintain organized project records. Interpret engineering drawings with accuracy, ensuring adherence to design specifications and technical requirements.
Qualifications
You Must Have: Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position. Prior experience with commercial aircraft seat structural testing is required. Specifically, 16g and 14g dynamic testing.
