About this role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paid Media Data Solution Architect to join our marketing data and technology team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions that enable the movement of first-party data across marketing technology (MarTech) and advertising technology (AdTech) platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience designing data flows, managing data onboarding and distribution processes, maintaining operational controls, and supporting data governance requirements. This role serves as a key liaison between marketing, technology, data engineering, analytics, and platform partners to ensure customer and audience data is accurately integrated, distributed, activated, and documented throughout its lifecycle. Ideally, experience managing the movement of first-party data across MarTech and AdTech ecosystems. Comfortable designing and documenting data flows, executing data distribution processes, maintaining integrations, overseeing operational controls, and ensuring compliance with data governance requirements.
Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Solution Design: Design, document, and maintain end-to-end data flows supporting audience activation, measurement, and reporting across MarTech and AdTech platforms. Partner with data engineering and technology teams to define and implement data integration requirements. Develop scalable data solutions that support first-party data onboarding, audience segmentation, activation, and measurement use cases. Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing data architecture and integration processes. Data Distribution & Platform Management: Execute and oversee data distribution processes across marketing and advertising platforms. Manage data onboarding, audience delivery, and activation workflows to ensure accurate and timely execution. Monitor integrations between data sources and downstream platforms, identifying and resolving data flow issues as needed. Support the operational management of audience and customer data throughout the marketing ecosystem. Governance, Controls & Compliance: Ensure all data movement, onboarding, and activation activities comply with Citi's data governance policies, privacy requirements, and regulatory standards. Establish, maintain, and monitor operational controls related to data integrations and distribution processes. Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews by providing process documentation and evidence of controls. Operational Support & Maintenance: Perform ongoing maintenance activities related to data feeds, platform integrations, and audience delivery processes. Monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate remediation efforts with cross-functional teams. Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Documentation & Process Management: Create and maintain data flow diagrams, technical specifications, operational procedures, and governance documentation. Ensure documentation accurately reflects system architecture, integration points, controls, and business requirements. Maintain inventories of data assets, processes, and control frameworks supporting marketing activation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, media, analytics, technology, compliance, and vendor teams to deliver data solutions that support business objectives. Act as a subject matter resource for marketing data architecture, integrations, and audience data management practices. Communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business
