Job Description
The Opportunity: We are seeking a certified and experienced electrician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, industrial, and construction settings. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, a commitment to safety, and excellent problem-solving abilities. What Your Impact Will Be: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with applicable codes and safety regulations. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, including wiring issues, circuit breakers, and control systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repairs. Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment failure. Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs in electrical systems. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and industry standards. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to meet deadlines and project goals in construction and retrofit environments. Supervise, mentor, and support apprentices and junior electricians. Maintain detailed and accurate records of work performed, time spent, and materials used. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA standards.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For: 5–7 years of hands-on experience as a certified electrician. Proven track record in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Experience working in residential, commercial, industrial, and construction environments. Construction site electrical experience including new builds, remodels, and infrastructure projects is required. Experience with fire alarm and fire system control panels is required. Familiarity with automated systems, energy-efficient technologies, or smart home installations is a plus. Experienced with fire system controls and fire alarm control panels is required.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Completion of a certified electrical apprenticeship or equivalent formal training. Proficient in electrical system troubleshooting, repairs, and code compliance. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and circuit diagrams. Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Required Certifications & Training Valid state-issued electrician license (Journeyman or Master, as required). OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (based on job site requirements). CPR and First Aid certification (preferred). Specialized training in high-voltage systems, renewable energy, or industrial electrical work (preferred but not required). Work Environment & Physical Requirements Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in outdoor conditions. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks (e.g., standing, kneeling, climbing ladders).
