The starting pay range for this position per hour is $24.75 - $26.75. The full pay range for this position per hour is $24.75 - $42.05 Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. ALL ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION Assets Protection ( AP ) teams function to keep our guests, team and brand secure and lead through crisis events. They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing theft and fraud to ensure product is available for our guest . They also b uild relationships inside and outside of Target , including store leaders and public safety officials, inclusive of law enforcement. The role of an Assets Protection Specialist can provide you with the skills and experience of : U s ing surveillance and intelligence-led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure while aiding in the reduction of shortage U s ing Target's video surveillance system to monitor guests and identify potential theft risks I mplement ing Target's Assets Protection practices and routines to reduce and prevent shortage P r operly and effectively document ing cases I dentifying strategic resolutions of external theft and fraud, and apprehension As an Assets Protection Specialist , no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities: Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: Greet: 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave 4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience Support total store sales , guest service and increase profitability by ensuring product is in stock and available to our guests by pre venting a nd resolving theft . Resolve theft by using good judgement and conducting apprehensions in shortage focus areas while strictly adhering to AP polic ies and procedures . Identify theft trends by leveraging technology, rep orting and surveillance tactics . Prevent theft by gathering intelligence and communicating important issues . Understand and appropriately use video system s to monitor theft activity . Respond to security incidents and s ubmit appropriate documentation for all incid ents following AP policy and procedures .
