The part-time (15- 20 hours per week) Pharmacy Technician will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. Pharmacy Location: Located within Forest View Hospital, 1055 Medical Park Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 6:30am to 5:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays 6:30am to 2:30pm Primary Responsibilities: Prepares and dispenses medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist Processes prescription orders accurately, including entering patient and prescription data into pharmacy systems Assists pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiency Process medication orders from electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) with accuracy and urgency Delivers medications to patient care areas, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and nursing units Maintains medication inventory by restocking, tracking controlled substances, and monitoring expiration dates Supports medication safety initiatives, including double-checks, labeling, and documentation Collaborates with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure timely and safe medication delivery Complies with hospital policies and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state/federal regulations You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Active Michigan state Pharmacy Technician license in good standing Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician, ideally in outpatient setting Must have weekend availability Proficiency with pharmacy software Proven excellent customer service skills including effective communication skills, both verbal and written Demonstrated ability to prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist Demonstrated ability to process prescription orders accurately, including entering patient and prescription data into pharmacy systems Demonstrated ability to assist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiency Demonstrated ability to process medication orders from electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) with accuracy and urgency Demonstrated ability to deliver medications to patient care areas, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and
