Job Description

Summary We are actively hiring experienced General Motors EV Technician ! This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing dealership service team with strong workflow, modern equipment, and ongoing manufacturer training. Technicians in this role will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and efficiency. EV Technicians will focus on advanced electric vehicle systems, including battery diagnostics, high-voltage components, and emerging automotive technologies.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on customer vehicles efficiently and accurately. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical and electrical issues. Complete work according to dealership and manufacturer standards. Accurately document repair orders and communicate findings with service advisors. Maintain productivity levels in a flat rate pay structure. Stay current with evolving automotive technology, including EV systems. Follow all safety protocols, especially when working with high-voltage EV components. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications

General Motors Certified - EV technician. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including electrical and drivability concerns. Experience with routine maintenance and complex repairs (brakes, suspension, engine, electrical systems). ASE certifications (A1–A8, L1, or L3) and/or manufacturer certifications. Experience or training in electric and hybrid vehicle systems is highly preferred. Ability to efficiently complete work in a flat-rate environment and meet productivity goals. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Basic computer skills for diagnostics and repair documentation. Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.
