Our practice specializes in the Upstream industry, advising industry leaders, policy makers and regulators, and investors on the most relevant industry topics: Upstream Oil & Gas (Exploration & Production) Growth Strategies (Organic Conventional, Unconventionals, M&A) Field Development Planning, Supply Chain Management, and Cost Optimization Subsurface (e.g. Reservoir Engineering, Production Optimization) Trends in Oilfield Technology, Water Management, Decommissioning, etc. Responsibilities and Impact • Lead upstream energy consulting engagements - Manage end-to-end project delivery from scoping through execution, ensuring high-quality outcomes are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction and addressing complex upstream challenges • Drive business development and growth - Scope new consulting opportunities, develop compelling proposals, and create thought leadership content including capability statements and marketing materials to support lead generation and revenue expansion • Manage cross-functional project teams - Coordinate resources, work planning, timeline management, and team performance across complex consulting engagements while supporting Project Directors in client activities and new business pursuits • Mentor and develop talent - Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members while leading by example and fostering a culture of collaboration, integrity, innovation, and excellence within the practice • Apply advanced analytics and AI capabilities - Leverage enterprise data science, GenAI, and Agentic AI technologies to enhance project delivery and create innovative solutions including dashboards, analytical models, and digital applications • Build reusable intellectual property - Develop methodologies, automation tools, and best practices that can be applied across multiple projects to drive efficiency, consistency, and competitive advantage for client solutions What We're Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: • Experience oil & gas companies with project management , or management consulting with upstream energy exposure • Proven track record delivering complex projects and managing client relationships • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) • Proficiency in analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, or similar platforms • Strong stakeholder management and organizational skills in fast-paced environments Additional Preferred Qualifications: • Strategic thinking combined with technical analytical rigor • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively • Experience with advanced data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies • Track record of developing innovative technology-enabled solutions About S&P Global Energy At S&P Global Energy, our comprehensive view of global energy and commodities markets enables our customers to make superior decisions and create long-term, sustainable value.
