Job Description
We are seeking for an Urban Designer/Urban Planner to join our multidisciplinary planning and design team. The successful candidate must have experience in leading master planning and urban development projects, capable of delivering concept and detailed design projects in multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholder environments in international contexts. The Urban Designer will be responsible for leading complex master planning development projects. The role provides planning expertise, engagement with the client and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable, economically viable and resilient urban development solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and delivery of large-scale master planning projects. Develop urban design concepts, master plans, and public realm strategies for projects of varying scales. Conduct site analysis, policy reviews, benchmarking studies, and urban design assessments. Provide technical leadership in urban development and sustainable city development. Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams. Present design proposals to clients and project stakeholders. Ensure planning proposals comply with local regulations, international standards and project objectives. Identify project risks, opportunities and development constraints, proposing effective mitigation measures.
Qualifications
Education Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Geography, Regional Planning or a related discipline. Additional postgraduate qualifications or relevant professional certifications are considered an advantage.
Experience
5+ years of relevant professional experience in urban planning, master planning and urban development. Proven experience leading large-scale international planning projects. Experience within multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated experience with client engagement. Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Experience in Landscape Architecture projects is a plus. Experience working in a multidisciplinary consultancy environment is advantageous. Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of planning regulations, development control processes and implementation frameworks. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and Microsoft Office. GIS proficiency is highly desirable. Knowledge of Revit and advanced visualization tools is considered an asset. Excellent planning, analytical and graphic communication capabilities.
