We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team. Our mission is to make encryption simple, scalable, and invisible for software builders across the company. We build the core services, libraries, and developer tools that enable thousands of engineering teams to securely encrypt and decrypt their data with minimal effort, allowing them to focus on building great products while meeting the highest security standards. The work you do will have company-wide impact. You’ll work on challenging technical problems at scale, collaborate with experienced engineers, and help define the future of secure software development. Every day, our platform protects billions of data fields in transit and at rest. As an engineer on our team, you’ll solve complex distributed systems challenges, design highly available services, and build developer experiences that make secure software the default. Key job responsibilities - Design and build highly scalable, low latency key security services used by engineering teams across the company - Contribute to the architecture and evolution of our encryption platform - Improve the developer experience through intuitive tooling, self-service capabilities, and clear interfaces - Maintaining and promoting a high operational excellence bar About the team The Secure Ingress and Egress Team (SIEGE) owns and operates the first line of defense for Amazon's confidential customer data. We build the tools and applications that allow Earth's most customer-centric company to protect our most valuable asset - Customer Trust. We build and maintain real time encryption services at Amazon scale working with security systems that bridge proxy layers, rendering applications and back-end service chains; our products impacts company-wide architectures and are used by thousands of services for protecting billions of fields per day in transit and at rest.
