Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' Baltimore and Partnered Sites (BaPs) division is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer – RF / Hardware SME, Systems Integration & Test  What You’ll Get to Do:   Senior Technical Leader for System Integration & Test (SIT), with emphasis on  RF and Integrated Assembly subject‑matter expertise . This role owns integration of the system integrated assembly, including hardware, firmware and control software, across multiple environments to support hardware deliveries, capability releases, and customer testing.  The engineer defines RF and sensor test strategies, leads complex integration and troubleshooting, and serves as a key technical interface to program and customer leadership.

Key responsibilities

Systems Integration & Test technical expert on programs, leading integration, testing & troubleshooting of RF sensor systems  Lead system integration strategy and flow development, developing test plans and defining test environments, scenarios and objectives  Drives a multi-disciplinary integration team through technical hurdles and solutions, enforcing integration processes  Interfaces with product design teams for implementation of root cause resolutions  Working with Integrated Product Team leads to develop schedules, develop material for and present at technical design reviews, and assist with resource management, including engineering staff, benches, and integration assets  Basic Qualifications  Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years’ experience, Master’s degree with 10 years’ experience, 8 years’ experience with PhD  Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start is required. Strong depth of experience with RF Hardware and test equipment  Strong depth of experience with MATLAB coding, test scripting, data analysis and signal processing  Knowledge and experience in firmware and hardware control integration planning and execution  Knowledge and experience integration & testing software written in C, C++.  Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems  Strong understanding of Systems Engineering concepts, including requirements analysis and verification planning and execution  Experience working in and leading a multi-disciplinary team environment  Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate internally and external team members  Some experience working with embedded
